Since this is the week for Spank or Treat, and Saturday Spankings is an unofficial ambassador for the event, if you're a participating author and wish to use your Spank or Treat post for Saturday Spankings, please feel free to do so.  Even if you aren't a participating author, Saturday Spankings is accepting longer entries (up to 2,000 words) this week.  A longer entry is not required, simply an available option.  So, readers take note, there is no 8 sentence limit this week, meaning authors' posts may be substantially longer than usual.  Spank or Treat does have a time limit readers must meet to be eligible for the offered prizes, but you can take as long as you like to go through the Saturday Spankings entries.  You won't get a prize for completing the gauntlet, but you will gain the pleasure of reading excerpts from some of your favorite authors.  Have fun!

Note to Authors:  Some readers have been complaining about the length of a few posts.  The rules state eight sentences.  It's okay to go over if the sentences are short, but I ask that you not let your post exceed the spirit of the hop, which is meant to be a short excerpt and a tease that will allow readers to quickly get through all the entries.  Please respect your readers' time and direct them to another link if you want to share chapters and scenes of your work with them.  Don't make me get out the ruler!  Thanks.  Happy spankings, everyone!
